This year, I wanted to find more ways to give back to causes that I believe in. Why not start today, on my birthday, with this one! Please make a donation on my behalf! Here’s some information from the Child Literacy Inc Website describing what your donation pays for.
US$ 1,000 pays for 1 child’s housing, education, food, clothes and medical care for
1 full year.
US$ 500 pays for 1 child’s education, food, clothes and medical care for 1 full year.
US$ 250 pays for 1 child’s education, medical care and clothes for 1 full year.
US$ 100 pays for 1 education OR medical care for 1 full year.
US$ 50 pays for a child’s clothes for 1 full year.
US$ 25 pays for a child’s schoolbag, shoes and school uniform for 1 full year.
Currently, programs are being offered in India to children who live in slums in South Delhi, and children with no access to books in Ecuador.
I appreciate you considering to make a donation on my behalf! I’ve been blessed and know you have been to! Any size donation will help but we’re trying to raise at least $500 this year! Can you help make a change for children?
I’ve said that I do music for me but it’s much much bigger than that. I do music for my siblings, cousins, and the future generations, along with my peers. The love, heart and honesty of the youth of today inspire and motivate me to continue living and expanding my passion. Making music and connecting with like minded artists has created an extended family for me that I love more and more each year!
While the digital realm has been a blessing for an independent artist in providing free promotion via file sharing and bookmarking, in the years that follow 2010, there will be many major changes made in the way we produce, market, and distribute music. Prospectively, audiofiles and afficionados will have the opportunity to pre-order selected previous and the hottest new releases on vinyl! That’s right wax, we’re going, going, back back to annie, annie (analog…:p)! These will be limited edition copies for DJ’s, libraries, and private music collectors featuring your favorite a cappella vocals, original instrumentals, and remix edits! We are most excited about this goal!
In closing, thanks for participating in this “experiment” thus far! May each day continue to bring good times enjoying great music!
Last Friday, my friend Carol Mier graciously volunteered to snap some pics of me after seeing me in her designs. Going to pick them up next week. Can’t wait to share them with you. Her clothes are playful and professional and one-of-a-kind. The boutique is eclectic and you get a chance to see her workshop and variety of materials on your way to the dressing room. Check out the Denver boutique on Santa Fe’s website here: http://www.carolmierfashion.com/designs.html
We hope to do more with Carol and company in the future. My time at her shop was a treat! I also snagged some sweet earrings. <3! Thanks, Carol! Looking forward to our next visit!
Are you booking entertainment, music and sound experiences? Submit your offer or proposal for Summer, Fall, and Spring 2011. Bring the sound to your town. The types of events & venues I’ve performed in (solo and with band/DJ) range from art shows, community festivals, nightclubs, house parties, high schools, colleges, conferences, and get-togethers. This year, I’m excited about expanding the type and location of venues booked in order to reach fans who might not be reached otherwise. This includes in-store appearances, boat parties, museum nights, film festivals, sporting events, July 4th, Halloween, New Year’s Eve, etc!
Looking forward to rocking with you at your party this Summer 2010. Maybe you’re a touring act looking for a support singer and opening act. Maybe you’re a promoter who’s looking to add an up and coming opening act to warm up the crowd. Maybe you’re a music fan or reviewer looking to rate new music from emerging artists. Whatever brings your here, welcome! If you want to join the email list to stay updated on new releases, collaborations, live shows, and promotions, please enter your email address in the box below.
We are now booking summer 2010 for performances of tracks from the CrowdPleaser EP, and more. Have a listen…something to help you nod your head and move your body and feel like dancing and singing along with, in your ipod, while you run, or in the car, with the roof down, on the way to the work, school, home, or the club.
Street Team Mission #2: Do you have a favorite DJ?
Download & Share the melodies and riddims with your friends, classmates, co-workers, etc… Share my website, myspace, twitter, facebook pages with them too. I want to hear from you. How do you feel about the new release? What are your favorite online radio stations, college stations, or independent radio stations that you listen to and want to hear the songs played on?
God Speed and Good Luck!

This MC is dope! His style is sick and tight. He’s also a part of Geek Thug Radio on the Kumsfm.com Radio network. Call in and geek out about gadgets and video games with the man! Lot of futuristic production and with soul to complement his complex flows. Shouts and Special Thanks to Belasco Black for producing our track ‘Pushin Daisies’!
This Poem is Not An April Fools Joke! I’m not a fan of practical jokes and I hate April Fool’s Day. :/// I wrote it today and felt like posting it because I haven’t posted anything in a while. It started out as a free form writing and will most likely be edited down a bit. Perhaps, it will become a song at some point. Been doing a lot of dreaming lately with lot’s of bizarre themes, holding vivid details. Some of which are incorporated in this writing.
Ladders in Dreams
Expectations to be what you see me to be
you see me to be
a thing that you see
in reality
me, being me
is out of bounds for you
i breathe
a fire for life and
recognition of the tree
that gave birth to we
even though
i get the feeling that you
see me as a she
as a foil
an example
expecting coolness from me
what you don’t see is the
actual me
the me that has dreams
and the me that speaks speak
seems pretentious and out there
but it’s the only me I can be
sadly, you who can’t see that
there’s more to me than
the see saw that holds you up while the weight
falls on me,
the weight of conformity
the weight of dis-ease
the weight of normality
the weight of un-ease
I see you pretending but
that’s just not me
I see you offended that dumbing down
didn’t suit me
I see you confused that this girl who is brown
has a heart, and a spirit, that can’t be touched down
you see me as royalty
at a loss to bow down
but just see me as a
cell in the organism
we sound
the same and you are you despite
the lame perception that it depends on the way
that you feel when I’m around
you ask “am i rich?”
you ask “how’d you get so smart?”
you ask “why not give in?”
& scream “too late to start!”
you question my authority
to command my own being
regardless of the chains
that stayed strapped to my being
I can’t help but rise
and still i keep rising
the basics of thought
keep me true to my being
say mind over matter
what matters is mind
say kind of like
actors
i’ve adapted
I try
sometimes the glass shatters
you see what’s behind
it’s hard to stay hidden and true at one time
what’s life but a mirror
what’s love but the ceiling
what’s behind but our hearing
what’s the art but each spirit
making an effort to sprout like all seeds
making an effort to climb
causing rocks to fall free
seeing ladders in dreams
Grandma’s talking to me
am i here or not there
it seems not up to me,
but i fight and stay fighting
I always get free
cause I fight and stay fighting
I always get free
but i fight and stay fighting
I always get free
cause I fight and stay fighting
I always get free
